At 15:00 p.m. on July 14, 2020, our college held a tutor seminar in the 1001 conference room of the college. The meeting was presided over by Professor Tan Xiaoheng, Secretary of the Party committee of the college. Professor Liu Min, vice president of postgraduate work, Professor Zhou Xichuan, vice president of scientific research, Professor Zeng Hao, vice president of undergraduate work, Graduate Office staff, college office staff, counselors and more than 40 tutors attended the meeting.

Liu Min first reviewed and summarized the enrollment, conferment and postgraduate training of the college this year under the epidemic situation, and presented that all the work was completed smoothly. In the early stage, the Graduate Office has conducted research on the oral defense form, re-examination form for doctoral recruitment and doctoral guidance enrollment index in Xi'an University of Electronic Science and technology, South China University of technology, Southeast University, Huazhong University of science and technology, and Chengdu University of Electronic Science and technology. The tutors were encouraged to put forward valuable opinions and suggestions on postgraduate training.

Then, the tutors expressed their opinions on the research topic. Professor Tian Fengchun suggested that the master's defense should combine the college's centralized defense with the tutor's self-organization, so as to improve the style of graduate students' study; Professor Tang Chaowei suggested that the college's unified centralized defense form should be adopted for the master's defense; some tutors thought that the basic indicators combined with reward indicators could be used according to the doctoral advisor's scientific research in that year. There were also some tutors who maintained that the college's graduation requirements for graduate students would make students not interested in doing scientific research, so we should choose a method to make students more focused and meet the graduation requirements at the same time.

Finally, Liu Min made a concluding speech. She said that today's opinions and suggestions expanded the thinking of graduate work in the college, and some problems would be solved in the future; graduation office would strengthen the coordination and communication with the University to jointly handle the rest of the issues.

Tan Xiaoheng then introduced the focus of subject evaluation and the weakness of the college in terms of subjective evaluation, patent transfer, tutor's English profile and social public service. He also hoped that the tutors could strengthen national cooperation and could carry out international academic posts in their future work.

In recent years, in the face of new situations and problems in the process of graduate education, the school of microelectronics and communication engineering have actively implemented the school's pinciple of "strengthening process management and improving training quality", and have strengthened the management and training of graduate management personnel and tutors. Regular tutor work meetings, deployment and implementation of the spirit of the school, communication between the college and the tutor, between the tutor and the tutor, have played an essential role in promoting the graduate education and training work of the college.
