Yang Qingxian On November 13, 2018

On November 13, 2018, Professor Yang Qingxian, director of the center for magnetic resonance research, School of Microelectronics and Communication Engineering, Chongqing University, and Chongqing Key Laboratory of Biological Perception and Intelligent Information Processing, was invited to visit the University.

At 3:00 p.m. on November 13, Professor Liu Min, vice Dean of the School of Microelectronics and Communication Engineering, introduced Professor Yang Qingxian's academic expertise and achievements. Then Professor Yang Qingxian gave an academic report entitled "what a smile does to your brain and to you?". This paper mainly expounds the relationship between olfaction and nose and brain, the principle of fMRI and the brain activity map under the smell of chocolate, so as to draw the conclusion that smell can affect people's emotion.

During the two-hour seminar, the atmosphere in the lecture hall was very active. Professor Yang Qingxian was very interesting. The teachers and students had a positive academic discussion and exchange with Professor Yang Qingxian.

After the academic report, Professor Tian Fengchun, director of Chongqing Key Laboratory of Biological Perception and Intelligent Information Processing, invited Professor Yang to visit the laboratory and introduced the basic situation of the laboratory. After that, an academic exchange meeting was held in the laboratory.    The two sides conducted full and in-depth academic exchanges on the research of biological olfactory mechanism, electronic nose bionic system, and the application of big data and cloud computing in brain science.

Professor Yang Qingxian also discussed with Associate Professor Han Liang and Dr. Pu Xiujuan on the classification research of Alzheimer's disease jointly carried out by the two sides, summarized the current research results and determined the next cooperative research plan.
