IEEE International Conference on ASIC 2019

The 13th IEEE International Conference on ASIC (ASICON 2019) was successfully held in Chongqing from October 30 to November 1, 2019. IEEE ASICON is a well-known academic conference in the field of integrated circuits. It is held every two years and has a history of more than 20 years. The purpose of the conference is to strengthen academic exchanges at home and abroad, promote the development of the integrated circuit field, and provide an excellent platform for the combination of production, learning and research.

The conference was jointly sponsored by IEEE Beijing Branch, Fudan University, School of Microelectronics and Communication Engineering, Chongqing University, supported by Chongqing University, Chongqing Institute of Science and Technology, IEEE CASS, IEEE SSCS Shanghai Branch, IET Shanghai branch and China Electronics Society. Nearly 300 experts and scholars from China, the United States, Japan, Switzerland and other countries and regions attended the conference to discuss the future development and application of integrated circuits. As one of the organizers, the School of Microelectronics and Communication Engineering organized more than 50 teachers and students to participate in the conference.

At the opening ceremony on the morning of October 30, Professor Zeng Xiaoping of School of microelectronics and communication engineering of Chongqing University attended as the co chairman of the conference. Professor Liu Min, chairman of the Organizing Committee of the conference and vice president of the college, delivered a speech on behalf of the college to the expert representatives attending the meeting, expressing a warm welcome to all the scholars. Dr. Sanjay Natarajan from the United States opened with a keynote speech entitled "extending Moore's law scaling through integrated materials systems". Dr. Mohamad Sawan, an adjunct professor of West Lake University, Dr. Mohamad Sawan of Montreal Institute of technology, and Christian of Swiss Federal Institute of technology Professor enz made special reports respectively, showing the research direction and achievements in the field of integrated circuits.

Nearly 100 experts were organized to conduct strict online review on the submitted papers. The final acceptance rate of oral report papers and posted papers was 34.9% and 27.5% respectively. The paper and report deeply discuss and study the international key and hot cutting-edge science and technology, provide a platform for young scholars and older scientists to communicate, promote the mutual communication between domestic and foreign universities, and strengthen the contact between academic and industrial circles. The college teachers and students who attended the meeting took a group photo with the experts and scholars who attended the meeting. They said: through this meeting, they have opened up their academic vision and increased their academic level, which is of great benefit to their future study work.
